It’s a place where I can write, sing, read and explore.
I know I’m going to miss it.
But there are many things that I love about theatre that I never thought would be possible, and some things that, for me, were the most important.
I’m looking forward to the next five years and the next ten.
I’ve been involved in theatre for five years now, and for the past four of those years, I’ve always loved reading.
I love the freedom to think and write.
I loved the spontaneity of the theatre, the openness of the audience and the sheer creativity that comes from a theatre that is a real place to be.
I have been lucky enough to be able to experience that in the UK and abroad.
There are so many great writers and musicians in the world and I know that my talent will be used to further the development of their careers.
There’s something so wonderful about discovering a new world, seeing a new person and hearing new music.
And it’s also something that I enjoy writing about, because it’s a space that is so real.
I write from a place of deep respect and admiration for the people who have gone before me, but also from a very specific place of empathy and love for the theatre.
